Noche 2 en Oaxaca: Yogurt de Mango


We went on an evening walk before dinner and this house caught my eye with the orange-navy blue color combo and artistic staircase.


These are Ataulfo mangos which are just called mangos chicitos here and are about half the size of the typical Haden mangos commonly seen in the US.


Queso con chile was the filling for these quesadillas.


Ensalada con jicama, zanahoria (carrots), pepino (cucumber), lechuga (lettuce), aderezo de tamarind (tamarind salad dressing), y pepitas tostadas (toasted pumpkin seeds) + quesadilla made with a corn tortilla.


Aurea made this dessert by blending a 2:1 ratio of plain yogurt to mango, added some sugar, then garnished each taza (cup) with nogales (walnuts).
